Before we can change how we feel, we first have to notice how we feel.

It sounds simple, but for many of us it's one of the hardest things to do.

We're busy taking care of work, family, responsibilities and everyone around us. Somewhere along the way, we stop listening to ourselves.

Our bodies, however, never stop communicating.

Things like tight shoulders, a clenched jaw, constant fatigue, digestive discomfort and difficulty sleeping.

These things aren't failures in your body. They're signals. They are literal notifications.

This week, I share the practice that has influenced every aspect of my own wellness journey: learning to notice without judgment.

I also share a personal story about how paying attention to my body's signals completely changed the way I approached my health.

This week, I have an invitation for you…

Pause for one minute and close or soften your eyes. Take a slow breath.

~Notice your shoulders.

~Notice your jaw.

~Notice your breathing.

Don't try to change anything yet. Just simply notice. Practicing awareness is where meaningful change begins :-)

On Friday, we'll continue by putting this into practice together with a guided nervous system session focused on noticing the whole body.

Until then~

One breath at a time,

Collette
